Air Weapons Pistol Shooting
Air pistol shooting is carried out over the same 10 metre distance as Air Rifle shooting, although different types of targets are used.
All the air pistols shot in competitions, must be under the legal 6 foot/pounds limit for pistols. It is therefore possible to shoot and own air rifles at the Club without the need to obtain a forearms certificate.
Due to the less onerous legal restrictions, the shooting of air weapons is the most popular means by which new shooters can be introduced to the sport and the club has a very good record of welcoming new shooters, both young and old, through the air weapons section.
Although most shooters will purchase their own pistols the Club has a number of pistols available for new shooters to use which can allow you to try out the sport without having to immediately buy a weapon.
